UA（娛藝）院線於1985年由立基集團創立，首家影院設于沙田，並率先將美式的綜合影院引入香港，于一間影院內設多間迷你影廳，為香港觀眾帶來嶄新及多元化的電影體驗。
過去26年間，UA增設多項增值服務，包括UA LOYALTY CLUB星級電影會籍、網上購票服務、豪華私人影院（Director’s Club及Phoenix Club）和獨家的IMAX影院 (UA MegaBox及UA iSQUARE) 以播放IMAX 2D版及IMAX 3D版電影，讓觀眾體驗「世界上最身歷其境的觀影震撼。」另外，為進一步配合業界的需求和發展，UA全綫增設數碼播放系統以播放3D電影，讓觀眾穿梭於現實與夢境之間。
現時，UA於香港不同的核心地段開設合共9間戲院40個影廳，選址皆是鄰近地鐵及高人流商場，交通便利。其中UA iSQUARE之IMAX影廳憑IMAX 3D版《阿凡達》勇奪 [全球最高票房影院] 之殊榮；UA朗豪坊連續5年蟬聯 [中國及香港最高票房戲院]；UA iSQUARE及UA時代廣場亦是 [全港十大票房戲院]， 成績彪炳！
UA Cinemas was introduced by Lark Group in 1985 with the opening of UA Shatin; the first ever US-style multiplex cinema in Hong Kong unveiling a completely new movie experience for our audiences.
Throughout the past 26 years, UA Cinemas has introduced various new value-added services for movie-goers, including UA LOYALTY CLUB membership, online ticketing service, deluxe cinemas (Director’s Club and Phoenix Club) and the exclusive IMAX* Theatres (UA MegaBox and UA iSQUARE) in Hong Kong providing the world’s most immersive movie experience for the release of IMAX 2D and IMAX 3D movies. To cooperate with the rapid development of 3D movies’ industry, all UA Cinemas has upgraded with advance digital 3D systems.
UA Cinemas now operates 9 premiere cinemas with 40 houses in prime locations in Hong Kong, for which UA iSQUARE is the top performing IMAX Theatre worldwide for the release of AVATAR IMAX 3D, UA Langham Place is the top grossing cinema in China and Hong Kong for consecutive five years, UA iSQUARE and UA Langham Place are also the top ten box office ranking cinemas in Hong Kong.
